Pressure equipment design

Careful design of pressure equipment is the basis for subsequent safe operation and thus also for the safe running of industrial processes. Their design and strength scaling in accordance with strict regulations and relevant standards are of paramount importance from the point of view of occupational safety, accident prevention, health -fire- and environmental protection. Several factors must be taken into account during design:

  • Material selection and wall thickness,
  • Structural integrity, 
  • Safety equipment, 
  • Maintenance and inspection, 
  • Compliance with standards and regulations, and 
  • Environmental considerations.

 

Our design engineers

Our team includes English-speaking design engineers with decades of professional experience who are capable of designing these devices to meet specific customer requirements — creating 3D models in parallel with strength scaling, and compiling operating and maintenance instructions using 2D manufacturing documentation.

Our engineers have in-depth knowledge of the relevant EU and Hungarian standards, and although we do not hold such certification, we also have experience in the use of ASME-certified and standardized materials. Our references include several products where, in addition to the use of ASME-compliant materials, manufacturing and design were carried out in accordance with European standard requirements.

Manufacturing technologies of our tanks

Tank manufacturing technologies play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of equipment. These technologies consist of the following main operations:

  • Sheet preparation, sheet rolling, 
  • Manufacturing and preparation of dished ends
  • Welding, 
  • Stub formation, assembly, welding
  • Surface treatment (before packaging and delivery).

Quality control at every step

Quality control is an essential part of the tank manufacturing process, during which we check the conformity and reliability of the manufactured products. In line with this, we also carry out in-process inspections.

Our flexibility and production control are facilitated by our own team of material testers and quality controllers. We have highly qualified staff in both Debrecen and Salgótarján, who are supervised by our colleagues with level 3 certifications (VT3, PT3, MT3, UT3, RT3).

Most of our quality controllers have Level 2 testing certificates, which means they can evaluate and record the results of the tests they perform. Their work is supported by modern, brand new digital equipment.

Multi- decade experience in tank manufacturing

Gyémánt-Pirazol Kft. — and its legal predecessor, Pirazol Kft. — has more than 30 years of experience in tank manufacturing. Since its founding in 1993, tank manufacturing has been the company's specialty, as the founding members, owners, and employees all came from the former chemical engineering plant, the former state-owned company Vegyépszer.

We are proud that some of our first employees are still working at our Salgótarján branch. They guarantee that individual customer needs are met quickly and efficiently, while maintaining the highest quality standards and passing on their professional expertise.

The founding members of our other predecessor, Gyémánt-Net Kft., mastered the design, manufacture, assembly, and maintenance of such machines in Debrecen, one of Hungary's strongholds of pharmaceutical manufacturing and chemical engineering training.

That is why we dare to say that the knowledge of our 165-strong team of experts, with decades of experience in the field of custom machine manufacturing, stands out not only in Hungary but also in Central Europe.

Our manufacturing expertise

In addition to our human resources, we have outstanding infrastructure and machinery, which enables us to meet virtually any unique customer requirement in the manufacture of steel tanks. Whether it be:

  • 8 liter or 1000-cubic-meter tank, 
  • Factory or on-site manufacturing, 
  • Carbon steel, stainless steel, or some special material (e.g., Duplex, Hastelloy, Inconel, etc.), 
  • Storage or pressure function, 
  • Indoor, outdoor, or cleanroom placement,
  • Design with or without mixing unit.

Modern infrastructure, complete production control

Our production facilities in Debrecen and Salgótarján cover approximately 5,350 square meters of manufacturing area, ready to fulfill our customers' orders. Our production halls are equipped with cranes capable of moving products weighing up to 64 tons at a time. We have the appropriate specialized machinery at our disposal:

  • CNC waterjet cutter with 3D head (3000*3000*700 mm cutting range),
  • CNC plasma cutter with 3D head (4000*4000*700 mm work table),
  • CNC machining center and lathe,
  • Conventional milling and turning machines,
  • Carousel lathe (with 2500 mm table diameter),
  • dished ends manufacturing machines (press and rimming machine),
  • Sheet metal rollers (25 mm wall thickness, 2500 mm belt width),
  • Semi-automatic welding stands equipped with both SAW and MIG/MAG heads for circumferential and longitudinal welds,
  • Edge milling machines,
  • Pipe laser cutting machine
  • Flanging lathe.

Speed, independence, flexibility

Our expertise and mechanization are such that we are able to perform almost all manufacturing operations related to and necessary for our orders "in-house." In fact, thanks to our continuous development, the number of operations that can be performed within the company is constantly growing.

This enables us to fulfill our contractual obligations with shorter lead times, greater precision, and a higher level of quality assurance.
